Joe Parent is a Financial Consultant with Voya Financial Advisors in Bellevue, WA who has been helping clients manage their financial well-being since 2003. Utilizing a holistic approach to financial planning and investment management, Joe works with clients to help protect what they have worked so hard to achieve by creating customized retirement income strategies, helping them be more efficient with their taxes and distributions, and managing the financial risks they face. It is his aim to help clients create a living legacy and have the freedom and opportunity to realize their financial goals.
Mr. Parent has been a part of the Voya Financial Advisors team since relocating back to Washington in 2010. Before becoming a licensed financial advisor in investments and insurance, he worked on the banking side of the financial industry in credit and lending as a senior lender and deposit manager. This industry experience gives him a unique and well-rounded perspective, and a broader understanding of complex situations in helping clients create strong foundations on which to build and grow their wealth.
Currently Mr. Parent holds his Series 7 and 66 securities and investment advisory registrations, as well as Life, Health and Disability insurance licenses, working with clients in Washington and California. In addition to his professional designations and qualifications, Mr. Parent is an active member of the Bellevue Brain Trust, a business group of experienced professionals that focuses on supporting local charities. He also volunteers his time with Washington DECA, an organization dedicated to educating and developing the business leaders and entrepreneurs of tomorrow. Joe graduated from Washington State University with degrees in Philosophy and Business Administration.
On a more personal note, when not working with clients Joe enjoys spending quality time with his wife and friends. He is an award-winning homebrewer and served as President of the Cascade Brewers Guild, a local club of homebrew enthusiasts. He is passionate about travel, and spends his free weekends heading to the coast to surf the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest.
